In late 2022, Adobe partnered with Little Dot Studios to tackle a multifaceted challenge: to create unique voices and strategies for three distinct Adobe YouTube channels—Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Photoshop. The mission was clear: engage diverse creative communities, grow subscriber bases, and drive views for each channel.
The Client’s Pain Points:
The client initially came to Little Dot with wanting to improve their subscribers and organic views. They wanted to reach both beginner and experienced creatives, looking to learn more about how to best use Adobe products. Shortly after an in depth analysis of their channel, we noticed they had cadence issues with over-publishing. This meant that their videos were competing with each other on a daily basis and struggled with performance.
To achieve Adobe's ambitious goals of increasing subscribers and organic views, Little Dot Studios employed a strategic and comprehensive framework: OVERHAUL, OPTIMIZE, ENGAGE.
- OVERHAUL: Conducted an in-depth audit of Adobe’s YouTube channel, identifying underperforming content, outdated metadata, and opportunities for structural improvements.
- OPTIMIZE: Reoptimising videos by updating their titles, tags, thumbnails and video descriptions to improve discoverability, boost engagement, and maximize watch time by aligning with current trends, search intent, and audience preferences.
- ENGAGE: We implemented best practices for Community Tab posting, significantly improving their impressions.
OPTIMIZE: Channel Management
Each channel required a tailored content strategy to boost visibility and attract the right audiences, ensuring that each Adobe channel was optimized for performance and positioned for sustainable growth. Our team implemented:

Crafted clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized video titles to improve discoverability.

Designed cohesive thumbnail overlays, emphasizing brand recognition while ensuring click appeal.

These foundational changes ensured that each Adobe channel was optimized for performance and positioned for sustainable growth. In total, we reoptimized 10,257 videos by updating their titles, thumbnails, tags and videos.
Editorial Services
Leveraging Adobe's rich library of livestreams, including ‘Adobe Express for Beginners’ and ‘How To Get Started in Lightroom’ we created high-performing content tailored to audience preferences:
- Compilations and Cutdowns: Repurposed longer livestreams into short, engaging compilations that increased watch time and resonated with viewers. Compilations for Adobe Express encompassed 70% of the top 20 most organically viewed new long-form videos and 70% of the top 10 highest CTRs from Nov. 9, 2022 to June 2023.
- Regular Posting: Consistently delivered fresh content to keep audiences engaged and coming back for more.
This editorial strategy not only attracted new viewers but also significantly boosted watch times across all channels.
ENGAGE: Community Management
Engaging with audiences in a meaningful way was key to fostering a sense of connection and loyalty:
- Creative Formats: Introduced dynamic content like GIFs, polls, and custom images to maximize engagement.
- Community Tab Activation: Used the YouTube Community Tab to spark playful and personal interactions, encouraging fans to actively participate in Adobe's ecosystem.
By making engagement a two-way street, we turned passive subscribers into passionate participants.

Adobe Photoshop
- 353% Increase in Organic Views: Year-over-year growth that redefined channel performance after implementing title change structures, thumbnail overlays and publish times.
- Top Content Impact: Little Dot Studios’ compilations now account for 5 of the top 10 most-liked new long-form videos.
- Subscriber Growth: A staggering 816% increase in subscribers across Adobe Photoshop channel.
- Nearly half of the top 50 new long form organically viewed videos from Sept. 2022 - June 2023 were created by LDS.
Adobe Express
- Content Performance: Compilations claim 6 of the top 10 highest-viewed new long-form videos.
- Subscriber increased by 549%
- By using the same strategy, organic views increased by 297% YoY
- Click-Through Rate: 8 of the top 10 videos with the highest CTR were created by Little Dot Studios.
All Channels
- Community Engagement: Likes across all three channels increased by over 1,100%, driven by our Community Tab strategy.
- Overall Metrics:
- 938M Total Views: A 33% year-over-year increase.
- 634K Likes: Up 110% year-over-year.
- 310K Subscribers: A 103% year-over-year growth.
